Biografia
Jacqueline Enkelaar-Ashdown is an educator, writer and art-oriented practitioner based in Verona, Italy. Her work moves between language, storytelling and creative expression, exploring how words, images and shared experiences can become tools for connection, reflection and personal growth. With more than twenty-five years of experience in education, Jacqueline has worked in international and intercultural contexts, including schools, private institutions and community-based learning environments. Her background as an English teacher has shaped a practice attentive to communication, identity and the subtle ways in which people express themselves across languages and cultures. She is also the author of Bianca, a bilingual English-Italian children's book, which reflects her interest in narrative as a space of imagination, empathy and discovery. Through her work, she brings together pedagogical experience and creative sensitivity, opening a dialogue between education, care and artistic practice. Since December 2025, Jacqueline has been attending a course in Art Therapy at the University of Verona, deepening her research into the therapeutic potential of creative processes. This new direction expands her practice toward a more intimate investigation of art as a language of emotional awareness, inclusion and transformation. Within the gallery context, Jacqueline's profile stands at the intersection of education, storytelling and art therapy, offering a vision of creativity not only as expression, but also as a form of listening, relation and care.
